Uji's experience

Great but too short experience.

Kyoto: Discover Uji’s Two Hidden World Heritage Treasures

Uji Temple and Shrine Tour

Teppani was an excellent guide on this tour and provided a wealth of information about not only Uji but also the amazing Unesco World Heritage shrines and temples. This tour is well worth the money to get a local perspective on these wonders that are still the original buildings. Teppani also made sure to recommend a local tea shop where I found premium quality matcha to take home.

An absolutely incredible must-do tour of Uji and the surrounding matcha producing area. If you are interested in off the beaten path, genuine experiences with local people, this is your trip! Masae is a local of the area who has dedicated her career to building up her local community of matcha producers and local craftstmen by sharing the treasures of Uji and Wazuka with curious travellers.
