Getting There

    If you're traveling by car, head towards Higashihachimancho in Nakagyo Ward. From the city center, take Route 1 and follow the signs towards Nijo Castle. Once you reach Nijo Castle, continue south on Route 162 for about 2 kilometers. There will be signs directing you to 御池桜. The parking area is available nearby, but it may incur a small fee (approximately 500 yen).

    To reach 御池桜 using public transportation, take the Kyoto City Bus number 26 from Kyoto Station. Ride the bus for about 25 minutes and get off at the 'Higashihachimancho' stop. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk to 御池桜. Make sure to check the bus schedule as buses may run less frequently in the afternoon.
