Car
If you're traveling by car, head towards Higashihachimancho in Nakagyo Ward. From the city center, take Route 1 and follow the signs towards Nijo Castle. Once you reach Nijo Castle, continue south on Route 162 for about 2 kilometers. There will be signs directing you to 御池桜. The parking area is available nearby, but it may incur a small fee (approximately 500 yen).

Public Transportation
To reach 御池桜 using public transportation, take the Kyoto City Bus number 26 from Kyoto Station. Ride the bus for about 25 minutes and get off at the 'Higashihachimancho' stop. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk to 御池桜. Make sure to check the bus schedule as buses may run less frequently in the afternoon.

Bicycle
For the adventurous, consider cycling to 御池桜. Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Kyoto. From the city center, follow the Kamo River cycling path heading north, then cross over to the east side at the nearest bridge. Continue towards Higashihachimancho, following local cycling routes. The journey will take approximately 40 minutes and offers beautiful views along the way.
