Once you reach Nijo Castle, continue south on Route 162 for about 2 kilometers. There will be signs directing you to 御池桜. The parking area is available nearby, but it may incur a small fee (approximately 500 yen).

To reach 御池桜 using public transportation, take the Kyoto City Bus number 26 from Kyoto Station. Ride the bus for about 25 minutes and get off at the 'Higashihachimancho' stop.
