Train
From Kyoto Station, take the JR Special Rapid Service towards Osaka Station. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Osaka Station, follow the signs to the Osaka Metro. Take the Midosuji Line (Red line) towards Nakamozu and get off at Namba Station (3 stops). Exit Namba Station and follow the signs to Dotonbori, which is a 10-minute walk away. You will see the iconic Dotonbori Bridge once you reach the area.

From Kyoto Station, take the Kyoto City Bus 205 or 17 heading towards Osaka. Get off at the 'Namba' stop. From there, it is a short 5 to 10-minute walk to Dotonbori. Head south on Namba Walk, which will lead directly to the Dotonbori area where you will find the Dotonbori Bridge.

If you prefer a taxi, you can easily find one outside of Kyoto Station. Inform the driver you would like to go to Dotonbori in Osaka. The trip will take approximately 50 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to have the address written down in Japanese: '大阪市中央区道頓堀'.
