Train
From Kyoto Station, take the JR Special Rapid Service to Osaka Station. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once at Osaka Station, transfer to the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line and take the train towards Nakatsu Station. Get off at Namba Station, which takes around 10 minutes. From Namba Station, it’s a short walk to Dotonbori. Exit the station and head towards the Dotonbori area by following the signs. You will see the famous Glico Sign shortly after entering the bustling area.
Bus
From Kyoto Station, take the Kyoto City Bus #206 or #100 towards Osaka. The bus ride takes approximately 1 hour depending on traffic. Get off at the Namba Station stop. From there, follow the signs to Dotonbori; it’s about a 10-minute walk. Head towards the Dotonbori Canal, and you will soon see the iconic Glico Sign.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route and don’t mind spending a little more, you can take a taxi from Kyoto to Dotonbori. The taxi ride will take around 1 hour depending on traffic conditions. Make sure to show the driver the address: 1 Chome-10-3 Dotonbori, Chuo Ward, Osaka.
