Getting There

  • Train

    From Kyoto Station, take the JR Nara Line towards Nara. The journey takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Nara Station, exit the station and head to the bus terminal in front of the station.

  • Bus

    From Nara Station, take bus number 97 or 70 towards Hokkejicho. The bus ride will take approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the 'Hokkejicho' bus stop. Once you disembark, walk 200 meters straight down the road, and you will find Uwanabe Kofun on your left at 1823 Hokkejicho.

  • Walking

    If you prefer to walk from Nara Station, it is about a 25-minute walk. Exit the station and head southeast towards the Naramachi area. Continue straight along the main road, passing by several shops and cafes. When you reach the intersection near the Nara National Museum, turn left and continue straight. You will see signs directing you to Uwanabe Kofun. It will be located at 1823 Hokkejicho.
