Getting There

  • Car

    From Mount Fuji, get on the Chuo Expressway (E19) heading towards Tokyo. Continue for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the Odawara West Interchange. Take the exit towards Route 1 (National Route 1) and follow the signs for Hakone. Continue on Route 1 for about 20 kilometers. You will see signs directing you to Hakone. Follow the signs until you arrive in the Hakone area. Look for parking areas near popular sites as parking can be limited.

  • Public Transportation

    Start at Mount Fuji Station and take the Fujikyu Railway Line towards Otsuki. Transfer at Otsuki Station to the JR Chuo Line towards Tokyo. Get off at Odawara Station. From Odawara Station, transfer to the Hakone Tozan Railway. Take the train towards Gora Station. The train will take you through beautiful mountainous scenery. Disembark at Gora Station to access various attractions in Hakone. Be sure to check the train schedules, as they may vary.
