    Car

    If you are driving, head towards Route 1 (Tōmei Expressway) from your current location in Mount Fuji. Follow the signs for Hakone. Once you reach Hakone, take Route 138 towards Motohakone. Follow this road for about 20 minutes until you reach Lake Ashi. Look for parking areas near the lake where you can park your car.

    Public Transportation

    To get to Lake Ashi using public transportation, first, make your way to Odawara Station via the JR Tōkai Line from Mount Fuji Station. From Odawara Station, transfer to the Hakone Tozan Railway and take the train towards Gora Station. At Gora Station, switch to the Hakone Cable Car and ride it to the Sounzan Station. From Sounzan, take the Hakone Ropeway towards Togendai Station. Once you arrive at Togendai Station, you can take a short bus ride or walk to reach the shores of Lake Ashi.
