Car
If you're traveling by car, start by getting onto Route 8 from anywhere in Musashi. Continue on Route 8 for approximately 70 kilometers until you reach Fukui city. From there, take the exit toward Route 158. Follow Route 158 for about 15 kilometers until you reach Jokyojicho. Look for signs directing you to Ichijo Fall, which is located approximately 5 kilometers from the main road. There is parking available near the fall, but please check for any parking fees that may apply.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a train from Musashi to Fukui Station. The trip will typically take around 2 hours depending on your starting point and train connections. Once you arrive at Fukui Station, head to the bus terminal located next to the station. Look for the bus heading to Jokyojicho, which runs a few times a day. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Jokyojicho, Ichijo Fall is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance as there are limited services.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Fukui Station. This option is considerably faster but more expensive, costing around 3,000 to 4,000 yen depending on traffic conditions. The taxi ride will take about 20 minutes. Ensure you have the address written in Japanese (福井県福井市浄教寺町) to show the driver.
