Public Transportation
If you are starting from Shinjuku Station, take the JR Chuo Line or the JR Sobu Line towards Mitaka and get off at Nakano Station. From Nakano Station, exit via the North Exit. Walk straight for about 5 minutes; you will pass several shops and restaurants. Continue straight until you reach a traffic light, then turn left onto Honcho Street. Jōganji Temple will be on your right at 2 Chome-26-6 Honcho.
Car
If you are driving from central Tokyo, take the Shuto Expressway Route 4. Follow signs for Nakano and exit at Nakano Interchange. After exiting, turn left onto the Route 7 and proceed until you reach the intersection with Honcho Street. Turn right onto Honcho Street. Jōganji Temple will be located on your left at 2 Chome-26-6 Honcho. There is limited parking available near the temple, so be sure to check for available spots.
