Car
If you are driving from central Musashi, take Route 16 (also known as the Yokohama Highway) heading towards Hachioji. Once you reach Hachioji, continue on Route 20 and follow the signs for Kongo Falls. The drive should take approximately 40-60 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive, you will find a parking area near the entrance to the hiking trail leading to the falls. Parking fees may apply, typically around 500 yen.
Public Transportation
To reach Kongo Falls using public transportation, start by taking the JR Chuo Line from Musashi to Hachioji Station. This train ride takes about 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Hachioji Station, transfer to the Keio Line and take the train towards Takao. Get off at Kongo Station, which is about a 15-minute ride. From Kongo Station, you will need to walk approximately 30 minutes to reach Kongo Falls. Follow the signs or use a navigation app to help guide you along the trail leading to the falls.
