Car
If you are driving, start from the center of Musashi. Head west on Route 16 towards Ome City. Follow the signs for Ome and continue for approximately 30 minutes. Once you reach Ome, look for signs directing you to Mount Mitake (Mitakesan). You will turn onto Prefectural Route 205, which leads directly to the base of the mountain. Keep driving until you reach the Mitake Station parking area, where you can park your car.
Train
To reach Mount Mitake from Musashi using public transport, start by heading to Musashi’s nearest train station. Take the JR Ome Line train towards Ome Station. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Ome Station, exit the station and find the bus terminal. Take the bus heading to Mitake Station. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Mitake Station, follow the signs to the Mount Mitake trailhead, which is a short walk from the station.
Bus
If you prefer to take the bus, you can take a local bus from Musashi to Ome Station. Check the bus schedules as they may vary. Once you arrive at Ome Station, transfer to the bus service that goes directly to Mitake Station. This connection typically runs every 30 minutes. After getting off at Mitake Station, follow the directional signs to the Mount Mitake trailhead, which is located a short distance from the bus stop.
