Getting There

    If you are driving from central Nagasaki, get on the Route 34 towards Sasebo. Follow Route 34 for approximately 50 kilometers, which will take around 50 minutes depending on traffic. Once you reach Sasebo, continue on Route 35 and follow the signs for Hario Higashimachi. Saikaibashi Park is located at 2678 Hario Higashimachi, and there is parking available nearby. Be prepared for potential parking fees which usually range from 200 to 500 yen.

  • Public Transportation (Train and Bus)

    Start by taking a train from Nagasaki Station to Sasebo Station. The train ride takes about 1 hour and costs approximately 1,300 yen. Once you arrive at Sasebo Station, exit the station and head to the bus terminal adjacent to the station. Take the Nishi-Kyushu Bus towards Hario Higashimachi. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes and costs around 500 yen. Disembark at the Hario Higashimachi bus stop, and the park is a short 5-minute walk from there. Look for signs directing you to Saikaibashi Park.

    Another option is to take a direct bus from Nagasaki to Sasebo. The Nishitetsu Bus runs this route, and the journey takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes, costing around 1,500 yen. Upon arriving at Sasebo, switch to a local bus that goes to Hario Higashimachi. After about 30 minutes on the local bus, get off at the Hario Higashimachi stop. From there, it’s a 5-minute walk to Saikaibashi Park.
