    If you're driving to Murinan Garden from Nara, take the Route 163 towards Kyoto. After approximately 40 minutes, merge onto the Meishin Expressway (E1) and drive for about 20 minutes. Take the exit for Kyoto and follow signs for Route 1 towards the city center. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the Higashiyama area. Turn left onto Nanzenji Kusakawacho. The garden will be on your right at 31番地. There is parking available nearby.

From Kyoto Station, transfer to the subway and take the Karasuma Line to Kitaoji Station. At Kitaoji Station, transfer to bus number 204 or 100 towards the Nanzen-ji area. Get off at Nanzen-ji Eikando-michi bus stop. From there, walk about 10 minutes along Nanzenji Kusakawacho, and you will find Murinan Garden at 31番地 on your right.
