Train
From Nara Station, take the JR Yamatoji Line towards Osaka for approximately 45 minutes. Get off at Osaka Station. Once at Osaka Station, transfer to the Osaka Loop Line and ride to Namba Station, which takes about 15 minutes. After exiting Namba Station, follow the signs to Dotonbori, which is about a 10-minute walk. Head south on the main street, and you will reach Dotonbori River, known for its vibrant atmosphere and iconic neon lights.
Bus
From Nara Kintetsu Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line to Osaka Namba Station. The bus ride will take around 50 minutes. After arriving at Namba Station, exit the station and walk towards Dotonbori. It is about a 10-minute walk; just follow the signs to Dotonbori, and you will find the river and its famous landmarks.

If you are already in the central area of Nara, you can take a leisurely walk to the Nara Park area and then take a bus to Osaka. First, head towards the Nara Park Bus Terminal. From there, catch a bus heading to Osaka Namba (approximately a 1-hour ride). Once you arrive at Namba Station, follow the signs to Dotonbori, which is about a 10-minute walk.
