Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from Nikko, start by heading south on Route 120 (Nikkō Kaidō). After approximately 15 minutes, you will see signs directing you to Kirifuri Plateau. Turn right onto the access road that leads directly to the plateau. There is parking available at the site, and it is free of charge.

  • Public Transportation

    From the center of Nikko, walk to the Tobu Nikko Station. Take the bus bound for Kirifuri Kogen (霧降高原行き) from the Tobu bus terminal, which is located right outside the station. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes and costs approximately 600 yen. Get off at the Kirifuri Kogen bus stop, which is the closest stop to the plateau. From there, you can walk to the viewpoint area.
