If you are driving, start by heading south on Route 317 from your current location in Oki. Continue straight for approximately 30 km until you reach the ferry terminal in Saikai. Take the ferry to Shimane Prefecture, which takes about 1 hour. Once you disembark, follow the signs to Route 9 heading towards Matsue. After about 90 km, merge onto Route 54 toward Tokyo. After around 300 km, exit onto Route 4 and follow signs for Bunkyo City. The Koishikawa Botanical Garden is located at 3 Chome-7-1 Hakusan, Bunkyo City, Tokyo 112-0001. Look for parking nearby.

To reach Koishikawa Botanical Garden using public transportation, start by taking a bus from your location in Oki to the nearest train station. From there, catch a train to Matsue Station. Once at Matsue Station, transfer to the JR San'in Line and travel to Okayama Station. At Okayama Station, switch to the Shinkansen (bullet train) to Tokyo Station. From Tokyo Station, take the Marunouchi Line to Otemachi Station, then transfer to the Hibiya Line towards Naka-Meguro. Get off at Kamenokozaki Station. From there, it is a short walk to the Koishikawa Botanical Garden at 3 Chome-7-1 Hakusan, Bunkyo City, Tokyo 112-0001.
