If you are driving, head towards Uenokoen in Taito City. Use the address 8-36 Uenokoen, Taito City, Tokyo 110-0007 as your destination in your GPS. From central Tokyo, take the Route 4 towards Uenokoen, which should take about 20 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive, look for parking options nearby; there are usually parking lots available around the park.
Public Transportation
To reach the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum by public transportation, take the Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line to Nezu Station. From there, it’s a 10-minute walk to the museum. Exit Nezu Station and head south on Yushima Bypass, then turn left onto Uenokoen Avenue. Continue straight until you reach the museum at 8-36 Uenokoen. Alternatively, you could take the JR Ueno Station, which is about a 15-minute walk to the museum. From Ueno Station, head towards Ueno Park and follow the signs to the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum.
