Ferry
To reach Tanaka Beach on Tsuken Island, you first need to get to the Tsuken Island Ferry Terminal. If you're starting from Naha, take a bus to Uruma City. Buses such as the 120 and 125 will take you to the closest stop to the ferry terminal. From the bus stop, walk towards the coast until you reach the Tsuken Island Ferry Terminal. The ferry ride from the terminal to Tsuken Island takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive on Tsuken Island, follow the signs to Tanaka Beach, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the ferry landing.
Public Bus
After arriving at the Tsuken Island Ferry Terminal, you can take a local bus service that operates around Uruma City. Check the bus schedule at the ferry terminal for the most current bus routes and times. Get on the bus that heads towards Katsurentsuken. Make sure to ask the bus driver to inform you when to get off for Tanaka Beach. The bus ride will take about 15 minutes, and from the bus stop, it's a short 10-minute walk to the beach.
Walking
If you're already on Tsuken Island, you can walk to Tanaka Beach from the ferry terminal. As you exit the terminal, head north along the main road. After about 300 meters, turn left on the first road you see. Continue straight for about 700 meters until you see the signs for Tanaka Beach. It's a scenic walk, so enjoy the views of the island as you make your way there!
