Erected in 1997 on top of the HEP Five shopping complex, the bright red Ferris wheel has become a symbol of the city's vibrant urban landscape. HEP, short for Hankyu Entertainment Park, connects the wheel to the larger entertainment complex favored by a younger crowd.
Rising 106 meters above the ground, the 75-meter diameter wheel features 52 gondolas, each accommodating up to four passengers. The fully air-conditioned and heated gondolas offer a comfortable 15-minute ride with music playing inside.
