Train
From Osaka Station, take the JR Kyoto Line (also known as the JR Special Rapid Service) towards Kyoto. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Get off at Uji Station. Once you arrive at Uji Station, exit the station and head towards the right. Walk straight for about 10 minutes along the main road, and you will arrive at Kōshō-ji Temple located at Yamada-27-1 Uji, Kyoto.
Bus
From Namba Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line to Kintetsu Uji Station. The trip will take approximately 40 minutes. After arriving at Kintetsu Uji Station, head to the bus terminal next to the station and board the Uji City Bus (Route 1 or Route 2) towards Yamada. Disembark at the Kōshō-ji Temple stop, which is just a short walk from the temple gate.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from any location in Osaka. Simply tell the driver 'Kōshō-ji Temple in Uji' (you can also show them the address: Yamada-27-1 Uji, Kyoto 611-0021). The taxi ride will take about 40-50 minutes depending on traffic.
