Getting There

  • Subway

    If you are in the central area of Osaka, head to Namba Station. From Namba Station, take the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line (red line) towards Nakatsu. After 4 stops, get off at Hommachi Station. At Hommachi Station, transfer to the Chuo Line (blue line) and head towards Cosmosquare Station. This will take about 15 minutes. Get off at Cosmosquare Station and take the exit towards the Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan. The aquarium is about a 10-minute walk from the station. Follow the signs for 'Kaiyukan' which will lead you along the waterfront.

  • Bus

    From Osaka Station, you can take the Loop Bus (Osaka Loop Line) which is also known as the 'O-Bus'. Board the bus at the Osaka Station bus terminal and take the bus number 88, which goes directly to the Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive, the aquarium will be right in front of you, and you can easily access the entrance.

    If you are staying in the Minato Ward area, you can walk to the Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan. The aquarium is located at 1 Chome-1-10 Kaigandori, Minato Ward.
