If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Osumi and take National Route 220 toward the direction of Kagoshima. Continue on Route 220 until you reach the intersection with Route 10. Merge onto Route 10 heading north. Follow Route 10 as it leads you toward Kamakura. You will need to pay tolls on the expressways, which can range from 500 to 2000 yen depending on the route taken. Once you reach Kamakura, follow signs for Hasedera, which is located at 3 Chome-11-2 Hase, Kamakura, Kanagawa. There is parking available near the temple.

To reach Hasedera by public transportation, first take a train from Osumi to Kagoshima Chuo Station. From Kagoshima Chuo, take the Kyushu Shinkansen (bullet train) to Hakata Station.
