Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from the center of Owari, head north on Route 157 towards Kanazawa. Continue on this road for about 1 hour until you reach Kanazawa. Once in Kanazawa, follow signs for Higashi Chaya District. Use GPS coordinates 36.5724921, 136.6669815 to navigate directly to the district. Parking is available nearby, but be prepared to pay for parking fees, which can range from 300 to 500 yen per hour.

  • Public Transportation

    From Owari, take the JR Tōkaidō Line train towards Kanazawa. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Kanazawa Station, exit the station and take the Kanazawa Loop Bus (the green line) towards the Higashi Chaya District. The bus ride will take about 15 minutes. The bus fare is approximately 200 yen. Get off at the 'Higashi Chaya' stop, and from there, you can easily walk to the district.
