Getting There

Public Transport

From Shinjuku Station in Tokyo, take the JR Chuo Line to Sagamiko Station. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and costs between ¥800-¥1,200. From Sagamiko Station, Lake Sagami Park is a 10-minute walk. Alternatively, take a bus from Sagamiko Station to the lake. Bus fares are typically around ¥200-¥300.
Car

From Tokyo, drive to Lake Sagami via the Chuo Expressway. Exit at Sagamiko East Interchange (outbound from Tokyo only) or Sagamiko Interchange. From either exit, it's a short drive to the lake. Note that traffic jams are common on weekends and holidays. Parking is available at Sagami Lake Park for a fee. Weekends and holidays cost ¥330 for the first hour, then ¥160-¥170 for every 30 minutes, with a maximum of ¥1,000 per day. Weekday parking is free, except during certain periods.
