From Sapporo Station, take the JR Hakodate Line train towards Otaru. The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Otaru Station, exit the station and head towards the main street in front of the station.

After exiting Otaru Station, turn left and walk straight along the main road (Sakaemachi Street) for about 10-15 minutes. You will cross over several small streets, and you will eventually see the Otaru Canal on your right. Continue walking until you reach the canal.
