From Sapporo Station, take the JR Hakodate Line towards Otaru. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Get off at Otaru Station.

Upon exiting Otaru Station, you will find the bus terminal right next to the station. Look for the Chuo Bus bound for 'Tenguyama'. Buses run approximately every 30 minutes, and the ride takes about 30 minutes. Make sure to have some cash ready for the fare.

After you alight from the bus at the Tenguyama bus stop, walk towards the ropeway station which is a short distance away. Follow the signs, and you will soon reach the Tenguyama Ropeway entrance.
