Folklore backed by historical documentation in a well-researched tour.
The tour was a great experience. It really showed a side of Naramachi not readily seen or talked about in traditional guide books. Claudio was a knowledgeable and engaging guide, and his thoughtful and thorough research into the stories about the guide locations was equally fascinating as well as entertaining. I really enjoyed learning about little known history, and finding that Nara has nighttime activities beyond the traditional deer park and Todaiji temple.

This is a great walking...
This is a great walking tour of Nara. Matheus was a magnificent tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about the various sites we visited. The temples were so impressive. He did teach us how to properly feed the deer so we had multiple opportunities to do that. I would definitely recommend this tour, especially with Matheus.
