If you're driving from Settsu to Dotonbori, start by getting onto the Hanshin Expressway. You can access the expressway via Route 1 or Route 176 depending on your starting point in Settsu. Follow the signs for Osaka, as Dotonbori is located in the Chuo Ward of Osaka. After approximately 30 minutes, take the exit for 'Namba' and follow the signs to Dotonbori. Parking is available in various nearby parking lots, but expect to pay around 1,000 to 2,500 yen for a few hours of parking depending on the lot.
Train
To reach Dotonbori using public transportation, begin your journey at Settsu Station. Take the Hankyu Takarazuka Line towards Umeda. After about 15 minutes, transfer at Umeda Station to the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line. Ride the subway towards Nakamozu and disembark at Namba Station (about 10 minutes). From Namba Station, follow the signs to Dotonbori, which is approximately a 10-minute walk. Make sure to have around 400 yen ready for the train fare.
Bus
For those preferring to travel by bus, board the Hankyu Bus from Settsu Station heading towards Osaka. The bus ride takes about 40 minutes, and you will get off at the 'Namba' stop. From there, it is a short 5-minute walk to Dotonbori. The bus fare is approximately 500 yen.
