If you are traveling by car, start from central Shima city. Enter Route 292 heading north. After approximately 20 minutes of driving, you will reach Nakanojo. Keep an eye out for signs pointing towards Shima Onsen, and follow the signs. You will arrive at Kashiwaya Ryokan located at 3829 Shima, Nakanojo. Parking is available on-site.

Public Transportation - Train
To reach Kashiwaya Ryokan using public transportation, start by heading to Nakanojo Station via the JR Agatsuma Line. From Shima city, you may need to take a bus or taxi to reach Nakanojo Station. Once at Nakanojo Station, take a local bus heading towards Shima Onsen. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes, and you should get off at the Shima Onsen bus stop. Kashiwaya Ryokan is a short 5-minute walk from the bus stop.

Alternatively, if you are already in Shima city, you can take the Shima Onsen bus directly to Kashiwaya Ryokan. Look for the bus stop in the city center and board the bus towards Shima Onsen. The fare is approximately 500 yen. The journey takes about 20 minutes, and you will be dropped off right in front of the ryokan.
