Turn right onto Route 145, and follow it for another 3 kilometers. You will see signs for Shima Potholes. Turn left onto the access road leading to the potholes, which will take you directly to the parking area. Be aware that parking may incur a small fee.

For those using public transportation, take the local bus from Shima Station. Board the bus that heads towards Nakanojo and ask the driver to let you off at the stop for Shima Potholes (you can also check for signs indicating the stop). The bus journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may be limited. The bus fare is around 500 yen.
