Car
From Shimotsuke, take Route 4 (also known as the Kanetsu Expressway) heading north toward Nikko. Continue on Route 4 for approximately 30 kilometers. As you approach Nikko, follow the signs directing you to World Heritage Monument, which is located at Sannai, Nikko, Tochigi 321-1431. The monument is well-marked, and there is parking available nearby. Be aware that there may be a parking fee, which varies depending on the time of year.

Public Transportation
If you prefer to use public transportation, start by heading to Shimotsuke Station. Take the JR Utsunomiya Line to Utsunomiya Station. From Utsunomiya Station, transfer to the Tobu Nikko Line and take the train to Tobu Nikko Station. Once you arrive at Tobu Nikko Station, you can take a bus (Tobu Bus) heading to the World Heritage sites. The bus ride will take about 15 minutes, and you should get off at the Sannai stop, which is a short walk to the World Heritage Monument. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance as the frequency may vary.
