Car
If you are traveling by car, head southeast on Route 18 from the center of Shinano. Follow the signs for Lake Nojiri (Nojiri-ko). After approximately 15 minutes, you will reach the lake area. The exact address is 34-5, Shinano, Kamiminochi District, Nagano 389-1303. There is parking available near the lake, but please check for any parking fees that may apply.
Public Transportation
To reach Lake Nojiri using public transportation, start by taking a local bus from Shinano Station. Look for the bus heading to Nojiri; the ride will take about 25 minutes. You can purchase your ticket at the bus station or on the bus itself, with fares typically around ¥500. Once you arrive at the Nojiri bus stop, it's just a 5-minute walk to Lake Nojiri. Follow the signs leading to the lake from the bus stop.
