Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving to The Sky Garden from anywhere in Tango, first head towards Route 178. Follow the signs towards the expressway entrance for the Maizuru-Wakasa Expressway. Once on the expressway, continue until you reach the exit for the Kyoto/Japan Sea direction, and then merge onto the Route 27. After approximately 40 kilometers, follow the signs for Yokohama and merge onto the Yokohama Bay Bridge. Take the exit towards Minatomirai and follow the signs to the Yokohama Landmark Tower, where The Sky Garden is located on the 69th floor. Note that parking is available at the tower, but it may incur additional costs, typically around 500-1000 yen per hour.

    To reach The Sky Garden using public transportation, start by taking a train from Tango to Kyoto Station. From Kyoto Station, transfer to the JR Tokaido Shinkansen (bullet train) heading towards Tokyo. Get off at Shinagawa Station, and then transfer to the JR Keihin-Tohoku Line towards Ofuna. Alight at Sakuragicho Station. From Sakuragicho Station, it is a short 10-minute walk to the Yokohama Landmark Tower. Follow the signs towards Minatomirai, and you will arrive at the tower where The Sky Garden is located on the 69th floor. Be aware that the train fare from Tango to Yokohama can cost around 5000-7000 yen depending on the route and transfers.
