    Discover more about Tokyo Skytree

The Tokyo Skytree, completed in 2012, is more than just a broadcasting tower; it's a landmark that embodies Tokyo's spirit. Designed by Nikken Sekkei, the tower's height of 634 meters was chosen to evoke 'Musashi,' the historic name for the Tokyo region. Its design blends traditional Japanese aesthetics with cutting-edge technology, featuring a cylindrical shape reminiscent of a samurai sword and a unique three-beam structure for seismic resistance. The Skytree boasts two primary observation decks: the Tembo Deck at 350 meters and the Tembo Galleria at 450 meters. Both offer stunning, unobstructed views of the Kanto region, and on clear days, even Mount Fuji. The Tembo Deck features a glass floor for a thrilling vertical perspective, while the Tembo Galleria offers a spiraling ramp with panoramic vistas. At the base of the tower lies Tokyo Skytree Town, a large commercial complex offering a variety of attractions. Here, visitors can explore the Solamachi shopping center, Sumida Aquarium, and a planetarium, making the Skytree a multifaceted destination. The tower also hosts seasonal events and themed exhibitions, ensuring a unique experience with each visit.
