Getting There

Train
From Tokyo Station, take the JR Yokosuka Line towards Zushi. After about 50 minutes, get off at Kamakura Station. Upon exiting the station, follow the signs to the East Exit. Once outside, turn right and walk along the main road (National Route 134). After about 15 minutes, you will reach the intersection with Komachi Street. Turn left onto Komachi Street and walk until you see the small street on your right leading up towards Ogigayatsu. Continue up this road for about 10 minutes, and you will arrive at Kaizo-ji.

Bus
From Shinjuku Station, take the Odakyu Limited Express 'Romancecar' towards Hakone-Yumoto. Get off at Kamakura Station after about 1 hour. Once you exit the station, go to the bus terminal located just outside the East Exit. Board the Kanagawa Chuo Kotsu bus heading towards Ogigayatsu. The journey will take around 15 minutes. Get off at the Ogigayatsu bus stop, and from there, it is a short 5-minute walk to Kaizo-ji.

If you are staying in the Kamakura area, you can walk to Kaizo-ji. Start from Kamakura Station and head east on Komachi Street. Walk straight for about 1.2 kilometers (about 15-20 minutes) until you reach the intersection with Ogigayatsu street. Turn right and continue up this road for approximately 10 minutes. Kaizo-ji will be on your left side.

You can take a taxi from Kamakura Station to Kaizo-ji for a quick and easy route. The taxi ride will take approximately 5-10 minutes depending on traffic. Simply tell the driver 'Kaizo-ji' or give them the address: 4 Chome-18-8 Ogigayatsu, and they will take you directly there.
