Discover more about Yokohama Marine Tower

Yokohama Marine Tower, standing at 106 meters (348 feet), has been an iconic symbol of Yokohama since 1961. Built to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Port of Yokohama's opening to foreign trade, it initially served as a lighthouse until 2008. After undergoing renovations, it reopened in 2009 as a renewed tourist attraction. The tower features observation decks on its 29th and 30th floors, providing 360-degree panoramic views of the Minato Mirai waterfront, Yokohama Bay Bridge, and, on clear days, even Mount Fuji. In the evening, the 30th floor transforms into a media art gallery, blending digital art displays with the city's dazzling nightscape. Visitors can explore the tower's lower floors, which house a variety of shops and restaurants. The Marine Tower Shop on the 2nd floor offers original souvenirs, while The Terrace restaurant on the 4th floor provides outdoor dining with Italian cuisine. The tower also hosts events such as art exhibitions and weddings. Located near Yamashita Park and Motomachi-Chukagai Station, the Yokohama Marine Tower is easily accessible and makes for a great starting point to explore other nearby attractions such as Yokohama Chinatown and the Yamate district.
