Getting There

Car
If you're driving from the center of Yamanashi, take the Chuo Expressway (中央自動車道) and head towards Fujiyoshida. Exit at the Kawaguchiko Interchange (河口湖IC). Once you exit, follow Route 139 towards Fujikawaguchiko. Continue straight until you reach the junction at Azagawa, then turn right onto Route 707. The Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway will be on your left at 1163-1 Azagawa, Fujikawaguchiko. Parking is available on-site, but be sure to check for any parking fees.

Train & Bus
For those using public transportation, start at either Kofu Station or Otsuki Station. From Kofu Station, take the Fujikyu Railway to Fujisan Station. The journey takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. From Fujisan Station, transfer to the Fujikyu Bus bound for Kawaguchiko Station and get off at the Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway stop (approximately 15 minutes). Alternatively, from Otsuki Station, take the Fujikyu Railway to Kawaguchiko Station (about 1 hour). From Kawaguchiko Station, you can take the same bus to the ropeway stop. Be sure to check the bus schedule, as it may vary, and prepare for a fare of around 1,500 yen for the full trip.

If convenience is a priority, you can also opt for a taxi. If you're starting from Kawaguchiko Station, a taxi ride to the Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway will take approximately 10 minutes and should cost around 2,000 to 3,000 yen, depending on traffic. This is a great option if you are traveling with luggage or in a group.
