Walking
From the Yufuin Bus Center or Yufuin Station, the most common way to reach the trailhead is by bus to Yufudenguchi bus stop. From there, walk to the Mount Yufu trailhead. Follow signs for Mount Imori, choosing either the direct grassland route or the forest route via Mount Yufu trailhead. The direct route is a straightforward climb. The forest route, though longer, offers shade. There are no entrance fees or special transport tickets required to access Mount Imori.
Public Transport
Take a Kamenoi bus from Yufuin Station or Bus Center (由布院駅前BC) to Yufudenguchi bus stop (由布登山口). The bus ride takes about 15 minutes and costs around ¥240. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to the Mount Yufu trailhead, which also serves as the starting point for the Mount Imori hike. Follow the signs for 飯盛ヶ城.
Taxi
A taxi from Yufuin Station to the Yufudenguchi trailhead takes approximately 10-15 minutes, costing around ¥1,500 - ¥2,000. From there, begin your hike to Mount Imori, following the marked trails.
