If you are driving in Yufuin, head towards the center of Yufuin and follow signs for Yufuin Onsen. From there, take Oita Prefectural Route 21 (Yufuin-Kawakami Line). After about 1.5 kilometers, look for the sign for 別邸 Gensen on your right. The exact address is 1530-10 Yufuincho Kawakami, Yufu, Oita 879-5102. There is parking available on-site.

To reach 別邸 Gensen by public transport, take a local bus from Yufuin Station. Board the bus that is heading towards Kawakami Onsen. The bus ride takes about 10 minutes. Get off at the Kawakami Onsen stop, then walk for approximately 500 meters east (about a 7-minute walk) along the main road until you see 別邸 Gensen on your right. Note that bus schedules may vary, so be sure to check the timetable at Yufuin Station.

If you are in the vicinity of Yufuin Station, you can also walk to 別邸 Gensen. It is approximately a 30-minute walk. Head south from the station, following the main street (Yufuin Onsen Street) until you reach the intersection with Oita Prefectural Route 21.
