Walking
If you are in the main area of Zao Onsen, begin your journey by walking towards the Zao Onsen Bus Terminal. From the terminal, head east on the main road (Route 13) for approximately 800 meters. You will pass by several shops and restaurants along the way. Continue straight until you see the sign for Ōmiya Ryokan on your left. The ryokan is located at 〒990-2301 Yamagata, Zaoonsen, 46. The walk should take around 10-15 minutes.
Taxi
For a more convenient option, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Zao Onsen to Ōmiya Ryokan. Simply flag down a taxi or call a local taxi service. The journey will take approximately 5 minutes, and the fare should be around ¥600-¥800, depending on your exact pickup location.
Public Bus
If you prefer public transportation, you can take the Zao Onsen local bus from any stop within Zao Onsen. Board the bus heading towards Zao Onsen Station and get off at the stop named 'Zao Onsen'. From there, it’s a short walk of about 200 meters to Ōmiya Ryokan. The bus fare is approximately ¥300.
