Car
If you are driving from Zao Onsen, first head southeast on the Zao Onsen Main Road. Continue for about 2 km until you reach the Zao Ropeway station. From there, you can park your car at the designated parking lot. The parking fee is approximately 500 yen for the day. After parking, take the Zao Ropeway to the top station, which will take about 16 minutes. Once you arrive at the top, follow the signs to Zaojizoson, which is approximately a 20-minute walk along the scenic path.
Public Transportation
To reach Zaojizoson using public transportation, start by taking a local bus from Zao Onsen to the Zao Ropeway station. The bus ride will take about 10 minutes, and tickets can be purchased on the bus for approximately 300 yen. Once you arrive at the Zao Ropeway station, board the ropeway to the upper station. After disembarking, follow the signs to Zaojizoson, which is about a 20-minute walk from the ropeway station.
