    Getting There

    Walking

From St. Brelade's Bay, head towards the southern end of the beach. Look for the coastal path that leads away from the beach area. Follow the path as it winds along the coastline for about 15-20 minutes until you reach a signpost indicating the direction to Beauport Beach. Descend the steps leading down to the beach area. Note that the path is steep and may not be suitable for those with mobility issues.

    Public Transport

From St. Brelade, locate the nearest bus stop (Brelade's Bay bus stop is a good option). Take bus number 12A, 14 or 15 towards St. Helier. Get off at the Beauport bus stop. From the bus stop, follow the signs directing you to Beauport Beach. Walk downwards along the path that leads to the beach. A single bus fare is around £2.50.

    Parking

There is a car park located at the top of the cliffs above Beauport Beach. From the car park, follow the path and steps down to the beach. Parking is available, but it can fill up quickly during peak season, so arrive early. Parking fees are applicable, but the cost ensures ease of access to the beach.

Wear sturdy shoes for the steep descent to the beach and to explore the rocky edges of the bay.
Bring your own snacks and drinks, as there are limited facilities on the beach.
Check the tide times before you go to make the most of the sandy beach and rock pools.

    Discover more about Beauport Beach

Beauport Beach, often hailed as Jersey's hidden gem, is a picturesque bay that offers a serene escape from the bustling tourist spots. Located in the parish of St. Brelade, this south-facing beach is framed by towering granite cliffs and lush greenery, creating a sense of enclosure and tranquility. The beach itself boasts soft, golden sand that gently slopes into crystal-clear waters, perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and paddling. The bay is sheltered from strong winds, making it a sun trap where visitors can bask in the warmth and soak up the stunning coastal views. The turquoise water is calm, making it a popular spot for swimming and a favorite for local and visiting boat owners. Beauport's secluded nature means it remains relatively quiet, even during peak season. Access to the beach involves a descent down a steep path and a series of steps, which helps to keep the crowds away and preserve its unspoiled charm. While this may not be suitable for those with mobility issues, the reward for the descent is well worth the effort. Historically, the bay was once a bustling location for smugglers during the 18th century. Today, it's a haven for nature lovers, with opportunities for coastal walks and exploration. The surrounding cliffs are covered with trees, providing shelter, and in the right season, blackberries can be found along the path. Keep an eye out for the pink granite rocks that sparkle in the sun.
