Car
If you're traveling by car from Al Karak Plateau to Petra Museum, take the King’s Highway (Route 15) south from Al Karak. The drive will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic. Follow the signs for Wadi Musa. As you approach Wadi Musa, keep an eye out for signs directing you to the Petra Museum, which is located at the coordinates 30.3253523, 35.4680132. Turn left onto the road leading to the museum, where you will find parking available nearby.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Al Karak to Wadi Musa. The buses typically leave from the main bus station in Al Karak and the journey takes about 2 to 2.5 hours. Once you arrive in Wadi Musa, you can either walk or take a taxi to the Petra Museum. The museum is located approximately 2 kilometers from the bus station; a taxi ride will cost around 2-3 Jordanian Dinars. If walking, head northwest on the main road until you reach the museum.
