Car
If you are driving from Al Karak city center, head southeast on Al-Hussein St toward Al-Masjid St. Continue for about 2 km until you reach the junction with King Abdullah II St. Turn left onto King Abdullah II St and continue for approximately 3 km. Look for the sign indicating Wadi Alkarak and turn right onto the access road. Follow the road for another 2 km until you reach the designated parking area near Wadi Alkarak. Be cautious of the unpaved sections and watch for other vehicles and hikers.
Public Transportation
To reach Wadi Alkarak using public transportation, start at the main bus station in Al Karak. Look for mini-buses or shared taxis heading towards Kerak Castle or the nearby villages. Confirm with the driver that they can drop you off at the Wadi Alkarak access point. The fare should be around 1-2 JOD per person. The journey typically takes about 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive, you may need to walk approximately 1 km to reach the hiking area.
Walking
If you're already near Al Karak Castle, you can walk to Wadi Alkarak. From the castle, head east on the main road for about 1.5 km. Look for signs directing you to Wadi Alkarak and follow the footpath leading into the valley. It may take about 30-40 minutes to walk down to the wadi, so wear comfortable shoes and carry water.
