Getting There

    From the center of Azraq, start at the Azraq Castle, which is easily recognizable. Head southeast along the main road (King Abdullah II Street). Continue straight for about 2 kilometers until you reach the junction with the road to Shaumari. Look for the signs pointing towards Shaumari Wildlife Reserve. Turn left at the junction and follow the road for approximately 10 kilometers. You'll see the entrance to the Shaumari Wildlife Reserve on your right.

  • Bike

    Rent a bike from one of the local shops near the Azraq Castle. Start your journey heading southeast on King Abdullah II Street. Cycle straight for about 2 kilometers until you reach the junction to Shaumari. Turn left at the junction, and continue biking along this road for about 10 kilometers. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to the Shaumari Wildlife Reserve entrance, which will be on your right.

  • Public Transport

    From Azraq's central bus station, take a local minibus heading towards the nearby towns. Inform the driver you want to go to Shaumari Wildlife Reserve. The bus will drop you off at the nearest point to the reserve, typically about 2 kilometers from the entrance. From there, you will need to walk or arrange for a local taxi to take you the remaining distance to the reserve's entrance.
