After parking, purchase your entrance ticket to Petra, which costs around 50 JOD for a single day. From the Visitor Center, you will follow the main trail through the Siq (a narrow gorge) that leads directly to the Treasury. Continue past the Treasury and take the path that leads up to The Monastery, which is about a 45-minute hike uphill.
