Walking
Starting from the Petra Visitor Center, exit the center and head directly towards the Siq, which is the narrow canyon entrance to Petra. Walk through the Siq for approximately 1.2 kilometers (0.75 miles), enjoying the stunning rock formations and ancient carvings along the way. As you exit the Siq, you will be greeted by the iconic Treasury (Al-Khazneh). From the Treasury, continue straight ahead along the main path. You will pass by several historical sites, including the Street of Facades and the Theatre. Keep following the path until you reach the main intersection near the colonnaded street. At this point, turn left and walk towards the Great Temple. Qasr al-Bint is located nearby, approximately a 10-minute walk from the Great Temple, marked by its distinct ruins. Follow the signs to Qasr al-Bint, which is officially known as the Temple of the Winged Lions. The site is situated within the main archaeological area of Petra, and you’ll find it easily recognizable.
