Car
If you are driving from the Burial Mounds, head southeast on the main road towards Amman. Continue for approximately 20 minutes. Look for signs for the Umayyad Palace, which is located within the Citadel area. Once you reach the Citadel, you will find parking available nearby, but be aware that there may be a small parking fee.
Public Transportation
To reach the Umayyad Palace by public transportation, take a local bus from the Burial Mounds to Amman. Buses frequently depart from the main bus station. Once you arrive in Amman, you can take a taxi or an Uber to the Citadel where the Umayyad Palace is located. The taxi ride should take around 10-15 minutes. Be prepared for a fare of approximately 2-5 JD (Jordanian Dinar).
Walking
If you prefer to walk from the nearest bus stop or taxi drop-off point in Amman, head towards the Citadel. The walk from the Citadel entrance to the Umayyad Palace is approximately 500 meters uphill. Follow the signage, and you will reach the palace in about 10 minutes on foot. Wear comfortable shoes, as the path may be uneven.
