Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, start from Amman. Take the Desert Highway (Route 15) heading southeast. Continue on Route 15 for approximately 90 km until you reach the exit for Route 40 towards Madaba. Follow Route 40 for about 50 km, and then look for signs directing you to Qasr Al-Harranah. The castle is located about 10 km off Route 40 on a well-marked road. There is no entrance fee, but make sure to have water and snacks as there are limited facilities nearby.

    To reach Qasr Al-Harranah using public transportation, take a bus from Amman to the town of Madaba. Buses leave from the South Bus Station in Amman and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once in Madaba, you can hire a taxi to take you to Qasr Al-Harranah. The taxi ride will cost approximately 15-20 JOD and takes about 40 minutes.
