Car
If you are traveling by car, head towards the town of Rum. From the town, follow the signs for Wadi Rum, which is approximately 10 kilometers (6 miles) away. The drive will take you through scenic desert landscapes. Once you reach the entrance of Wadi Rum Protected Area, you will need to pay an entrance fee of approximately 5 Jordanian Dinars (JD) per person.
Public Transportation (Bus)
From the nearest city, Aqaba, take a bus to Rum village. The buses run regularly and the fare is usually around 3 JD. Once you arrive in Rum village, you can hire a local taxi or join a tour group that will take you into the Wadi Rum Protected Area. The taxi fare to the entrance is typically around 10 JD.
Taxi
If you are already in a nearby location such as Aqaba or Petra, consider taking a taxi directly to Wadi Rum. Ensure to negotiate the fare beforehand; it should cost approximately 30-40 JD depending on your starting point. The taxi will take you straight to the entrance of Wadi Rum Protected Area.
